From the Director

Dear Friends,

Today, Tuesday, May 15, is my second day as the new Executive Director of the Arboretum and as the new kid on the block, I have lots to learn.  Luckily, I am surrounded by a staff, a Board of Trustees, and a constituency whose passion for our organization and commitment to nature and the environment are at once both inspiring and instructive. 

Over the next few months, I look forward to meeting and chatting with you as you visit the grounds and participate in special events and activities.  Perhaps we can share a toast at the upcoming Art in the Garden fundraiser, or a quick hello at the Great American Backyard Campout later in June.  But whenever we meet, I want you to feel free to call upon me with your suggestions and dreams for the future, our future, here at Reeves-Reed.  Together we will build upon the reputation of the Arboretum  as a "green magnet" in our community, our county, and in our state.
