Why You Should Volunteer More!

At Reeves-Reed Arboretum, volunteers are essential to our mission and they are one of the greatest strengths of our organization.  Volunteers provide necessary support in the gardens and make special events and festivals possible.  Our diverse volunteer pool includes students, retirees, avid gardeners, schools, teachers, nature lovers, and corporate groups.  Some volunteer for a few hours, and some volunteer on a regular basis.

Visits to the Gallery

One of the joys of teaching at the Arboretum is drawing ideas for programs from our lovely surroundings. Plants, animals, birdsong, and breezes engage the senses and offer endless chances for connection and curiosity. I love it when the seasons change. During the approach to each equinox, I look forward to feeling a change in temperature, seeing the shift in the way sunlight falls, and watching the many ways that plants react to a new season.
