Restoring the Woods!

It’s been a busy winter and spring in the Woodland at Reeves-Reed Arboretum! The Horticulture Department -along with dedicated RRA volunteer groups- implemented major trail renovations, seeded 1/4 acre with native woodland ground-cover species, and planted over 25 native tree saplings.

No, really! Come take a hike with me on the woodland trails here at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Our lush Welcome Walk, colorful Historic Gardens, blossoming Daffodil Bowl, and tranquil, flowing fishpond are certainly the jewels of the Arboretum. But as with any jewel, its setting can be just as beautiful! Here at the Arboretum, our prized gardens are surrounded by over 6 acres of natural woodland habitat. There’s always something new and interesting to discover in the woods.

Summer Camp Summary 2021

Here we are again! Another season of Elephant Tree Nature Camp has concluded. It's astounding how quickly these camp weeks fly by, but we all know what that means...
