On MLK Day, we once again participated in the amazing array of events offered by Shaping Summit Together. A dedicated group of volunteers worked outside "Clearing the Way for Spring" with our Horticulture Department, while in the Education Center, volunteers made nature-inspired Valentine's Day cards from recycled materials. Months of hard work came full circle in December with our annual Holiday House Tour - a fundraising event that would not be possible without an army of amazing volunteers. October 23rd was a beautiful crisp Fall day on which the Arboretum hosted its annual "Celebrate Fall" festival. This was my first experience at this wonderful event for families, children and teens.
