If You Plant It, They Will Come: The Importance of Native Plants in the Landscape (virtual): Thursday, October 27

The Arboretum is pleased to introduce our second speaker in our Notable Garden Speakers series, Dr. Randi Eckel, the owner of Toadshade Wildflower Farm in Frenchtown, NJ.

Butterflies, pollinators, birds, and other wildlife rely on native plants to survive. Randi will discuss the importance of supporting our native wildlife within our gardens, show examples of some creatures that rely upon specific plants, and discuss the complexities of attracting rare wildlife (rare butterflies, for example) to our gardens.

If you care about the Monarchs and their declining population and want to learn how you can help, join us for an enlightening evening with Randi, as she guides us on the path to create more diverse and ecofriendly gardens.

Light refreshments will be served.

This program will also be held onsite. Please click here to register for the onsite lecture.

For more information, please contact Director of Education, Althea Llewellyn, at 908-273-8787 ext. 1920.
