ART in the Garden 2013

Reeves-Reed Arboretum to open ART in the Garden on June 1

Featuring Site Specific Sculpture Installation by artist Tom Holmes

Summit, NJ:  ART in the Garden 2013 will open with a Gala event on Saturday June 1, featuring art installations indoors and out,  live music by Afro-Cuban band Grupo Latin Vibe, live and silent auctions, and a cocktail party under the stars in the Arboretum's garden.

The highlight of this year's ART in the Garden is a large scale sculpture installation by renowned artist Tom Holmes. Tom is a sculptor and musician living and working in the NEPA valley.  Drawing from themes found in nature, Tom works in the six elements of stone, metal, wood, light, ice and water. His work at the Arboretum will feature natural materials taken right from the grounds, as well as his signature lighted ice sculptures. The exhibit will remain up through October 2013.  ART in the Garden also kicks off Sounds of a Summer Night Wednesday evening music series on the terrace at Reeves-Reed Arboretum.

ART in the Garden is sponsored by Novartis.
