Reeves-Reed Arboretum Announces
Honorees for 2016 Gala

ART in the Garden
Saturday, June 4, 6 pm to 11 pm

Reeves-Reed Arboretum
165 Hobart Avenue
Summit, NJ 07901

Summit, NJ: ART in the Garden, Reeves-Reed Arboretum's eagerly anticipated annual garden party and fundraiser, celebrates the extraordinary contributions of long-time community partners The Summit Garden Club, and Chip and former Summit mayor, Ellen Dickson, on Saturday evening, June 4, from 6 pm to 11 pm.

Ellen and Chip Dickson will be honored in recognition of their passionate and unwavering commitment to Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Ellen has long been a community activist, serving on local school, zoning, finance and buildings and grounds committees before being elected as Mayor in 2011. She recently completed her term and currently sits on the Arboretum's Development Committee. Chip Dickson is the founder and Director of Research for DISCERN, an information analytic company specializing in investment insights. Also, an avid oenophile, Chip has donated prized selections from his cellar in support of the Arboretum's gala, ART in the Garden. And as nearby neighbors of the Arboretum, you will often find one or both of them walking through the gardens, attending community-wide events, and checking into the Wisner House Gallery.

Additionally, we will honor The Summit Garden Club. Now celebrating their Centennial Year, The Summit Garden Club members have long been volunteers and supporters of the horticultural legacy of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Members of the club are often found working in the historic herb garden or helping to decorate Wisner House during our annual Holiday House Tour. 2016 will be a year filled with important celebrations and activities for SCG. Reeves-Reed Arboretum is honored to be among the first to acknowledge their significant role in our community.

The Trustees and Staff of Reeves-Reed Arboretum will have the honor and pleasure to salute these important community partners at ART in the Garden scheduled for Saturday, June 4, from 6 to 11 pm. So SAVE THE DATE and mark your calendars now. Happily, RRA board member, Nancy Quinn, will once again chair the gala committee. Over the next few months, please check the Arboretum's website for updated highlights.
