Summit, NJ The countdown is on and the clock is ticking! Tickets are now on sale for Summit's most eagerly anticipated garden party – ART in the Garden®, at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, Saturday, June 8, 2019. Join 300 of your neighbors, families, and friends under the canopy of trees and stars. Sip a specialty cocktail and sample the finest fare David Ellis Events can offer, and check out the wondrous live and silent auction while listening and dancing to Lenox Underground. This is just one short star away from a truly heavenly night. The honorees for the night's festivities are – Muggins Badgley, Millie Cooper, Betse Gump, Gail Malin, Susan Watts, and Betsy Wesson – lovingly dubbed the Summit Supremes by the Arboretum, these six remarkable women have led and served this community by their example. Many Summit institutions would be much the worse without their vision, dedication and continued support.
ART in the Garden® traditionally celebrates the kick off for the Arboretum's season of visual and performing arts with, this year, the installation of Karen Fitzgerald 360⁰: Cosmic Landscape Revelations. Large-scale, gilded tondo oil paintings alongside watercolor landscapes, as seen through a looking glass, showcase this extraordinary artist's unique vision and style. Guests might even catch a glimpse of the Arboretum's gardens through one of Fitzgerald's magical circles.
The funds raised during ART in the Garden® allow the Arboretum to continue to serve a broad and ever-changing community by providing environmental and horticultural education programs to children and adults of all abilities, and by maintaining an historic house and gardens as a cultural destination and resource for over 100,000 visitors annually.
Debbie Clark, Lisa Hatch, Elizabeth Keil, Sherry Kerrigan and Sandra McTernan serve as the Gala Committee for ART in the Garden 2019.
Mark your calendars, ART in the Garden®, June 8, 2019. To purchase tickets, take out a sponsorship, or to make a donation in support of the Summit Supremes, please go to rragala19.givesmart.com, or call 908-273-8787 x 1010. Online bidding for the silent auction begins June 3, 2019.
