Reeves-Reed Arboretum to host Daffodil Day on Sunday, April 14
A splendid display of 40,000 daffodils in bloom!
Free to RRA Members and open from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, Daffodil Day at Reeves-Reed Arboretum is sponsored by Hilltop Community Bank. Visitors to the Arboretum have an opportunity to enjoy one of the largest daffodil collections in New Jersey – over 40,000 bulbs in bloom in the Arboretum's glacially carved Daffodil Bowl. A spectacular display of color, the collection was originally planted in the early 1900's and has been expanded over the years.
A fun-filled day of revelry to celebrate the arrival of spring, Daffodil Day will feature activities that the entire family can enjoy! As part of RRA's music residency program this year, kids can create original haikus set to music and performed by Rose and the Nightingale. For the more adventurous types, skilled instructors will provide lessons in archery and an introduction to the ancient art of falconry. And the little ones can participate in spring-themed games, nature crafts, and a guided parade through the Daffodil Bowl.
A professional photographer will be on hand to take family photos. Food and refreshments will also be available.
Daffodil Day is sponsored by Hilltop Community Bank.
Cost: $10 per person; $25 per family (Non-members)
*FREE for RRA members
