LOVE IS IN BLOOM AT REEVES-REED ARBORETUM WITH FLORAL WORKSHOPS AND ENCHANTING TEAS

SUMMIT, NJ  As the season of love approaches, Reeves-Reed Arboretum is excited to announce a series of enchanting Valentine’s Day floral workshops and Secret Tea Room events, offering unique and unforgettable experiences for couples, friends, and individuals looking to express their love this February.

Whether you are a seasoned florist or a complete beginner, the “Winter Passion” floral workshops are designed to cater to all skill levels. Led by Daica Skrobala, owner and floral designer of Polycarp Flowers in Summit, participants will have the opportunity to create stunning bouquets using the finest blooms and foliage, and learn valuable tips about how to choose, condition and arrange them into a thoughtful arrangement. The workshops are scheduled for Monday, February 12 and Tuesday, February 13 at 11am at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, and include all supplies, as well as complimentary refreshments and snacks while you immerse yourself in the world of floral artistry. This is the perfect opportunity to bond with your special someone, friends, or a solo experience to treat yourself.

For the romantics who are also tea enthusiasts, the Secret Tea Room will be hosting several tea events this February in historic Wisner House overlooking the Arboretum’s winter landscape. Featuring scrumptious freshly baked scones with homemade clotted cream and jams, soothing brewed to perfection teas, delectable tea sandwiches and divine flourless chocolate cake, these tea experiences promise enchanting gatherings for couples, friends, and families. The Secret Tea Room will host the following in celebration of Valentine’s Day: Evening Tea on February 9, Afternoon Tea on February 10 and 11, and Cream Tea on February 14. Seating times and menus vary.

“Reeves-Reed Arboretum is dedicated to creating memorable experiences, and Valentine’s Day is no exception,” shared Doreen Schindler, Manager of Special Events. “We may not be able to be out in the garden at this time of year, but we love hosting programs and events in this beautiful space so people can gather together and create joyful memories that will last long after the event has finished.”
