THURSDAY, MARCH 7

Summit, NJ Reeves-Reed Arboretum announces its first excursion of the season - the 2019 Philadelphia Flower show, FLOWER POWER.... the POWER OF FLOWERS!, Thursday, March 7.

A single flower has the power to convey the strongest human emotions. FLOWER POWER....the POWER OF FLOWERS!, pays tribute to the enormous impact flowers have on our lives, from the first blooms of spring in our home garden to the glorious annual display of daffodils at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Flowers influence how we feel, think, and act in our homes and communities - even globally.

Special note, this year the Philadelphia Flower Show will host the FTD World Cup 2019 Floral Design Competition. Be a part of the fun and witness the magic.

Reeves-Reed Arboretum considers the Philadelphia Flower Show a top destination and "must experience" horticultural event for all, whether novice weekend gardener or professional landscape designer. Tickets are $80 for RRA members; $95 for nonmembers. The bus will depart from the Grand Summit Hotel (870 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ) promptly at 8:30 am and will leave the Flower Show at 3 pm. Seating is limited and paid reservations are required. Register at www.reeves-reedarboretum.org, or call 908-273-8787 x 1010.

Celebrating over 40 years as an historic public garden, education resource, and non-profit conservancy, Reeves-Reed Arboretum engages, educates and enriches the public through horticulture and environmental education, and the care and utilization of the gardens and estate. Open 7 days a week, the Arboretum is listed on both the National and New Jersey State Historic Registers. Funding for RRA has been made possible in part by the NJ Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, through a grant administered by the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Dept. of Parks & Community Renewal.
