Reeves-Reed Arboretum – SUPPORT OUR HEROES!
Reeves-Reed Arboretum
165 Hobart Avenue
Summit, NJ 07901
Summit, NJ Everyday, healthcare workers at Overlook Medical Center man the front lines in fighting COVID-19, putting their mental and physical well-being at risk, so that our families may be safe and healthy. Shifts are long, arduous, dangerous, and emotionally and physically taxing.
The Staff and Trustees at Reeves-Reed Arboretum honor these Yeoman efforts by offering free Family Memberships to all healthcare workers at Overlook Medical Center.
RRA Executive Director, Frank Juliano, invites the workers at Overlook to, "Whenever possible, come by for a walk in nature – clear your head, sit amidst the beauty of our gardens. Let nature be a remedy for your fatigue and burnout. It's just our small way of saying thank you for the extraordinary sacrifices you and your families are making, on our behalf, during this crisis."
Want to join in the Arboretum's support of our local heroes? Simply go to www.reeves-reedarborwetum.org and click on the 'donate' option, go to Nurturing Nature and make a gift to help underwrite a Family Membership. Each $100 donation buys a full year Family Membership to the Arboretum in honor of the healthcare workers at Overlook Medical Center. Together, let's show how much we appreciate their dedication and selflessness, especially during this COVID-19 crisis!
Celebrating over 40 years as a historic public garden and education resource, Reeves-Reed Arboretum engages, educates and enriches the public through horticulture and environmental education, and the care and utilization of the gardens and estate. Open 7 days, the Arboretum is listed on both the National and New Jersey State Historic Registers. Funding for RRA has been made possible in part by the NJ Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, through a grant administered by the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Dept. of Parks & Community Renewal.
