Celebrates the Summer Olympics
Summit, NJ – Reeves-Reed Arboretum located at 165 Hobart Avenue invites your child to be a part of the Elephant Tree Nature Camp, a nature-themed summer day camp for children ages 4 through 12. Now in its 22nd summer, each one-week camp session is focused around a specific environmental topic and is designed to appeal to children with a love of the natural world. This summer the camp will be celebrating the Summer Olympics and will incorporate activities promoting Let’s Move! Museums & Gardens, a program which is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s national initiative to raise a healthier generation of kids.

Registration for non members will be accepted beginning Monday, February 6. Informational open houses have been scheduled for Wednesday, January 18 at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Staff will be available to discuss the summer camp offerings and answer questions.
Reeves-Reed Arboretum is the only public garden and one of the largest green spaces in the City of Summit. It is the only arboretum in Union County. The Arboretum seeks to engage, educate and enrich its visitors so they may become better stewards of nature and the environment. This mission is achieved through the care and utilization of an historic estate and gardens. Reeves-Reed Arboretum is listed on both the National and New Jersey Historic Registries.
