On Sunday, December 8, 2024, we will be holding our fifth annual Festival of Trees, and we invite YOU to help make it a success!
STEP 1: Sign up to sponsor and decorate a tree! RRA will provide and set up the trees and lights, you just need the decorations. The deadline to register is December 5 or while supplies last. We will have a limited number of trees, so don’t wait to sign up.
STEP 2: Decorate! Gather your family, friends, or colleagues and come to the Arboretum on Saturday, December 7, 10 am – 2 pm to create your display. Be creative, there will be prizes!
STEP 3: Return on Sunday, December 8 with your 2 complimentary tickets to enjoy the fun! The Festival will include touring the trees and voting for your favorite one, arts and crafts for the kids celebrating Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, and the Winter Solstice, musical entertainment, a story walk, as well as food vendors and a holiday market. And of course, our Festival would not be complete without Santa strolling the grounds!
STEP 4: After the event, you are welcome to take your tree home or remove the decorations and leave it on the Arboretum grounds. We can use the trees to make mulch or use the branches to protect our beds from frost during the winter months. Details in FAQs below.
