Food For Thought

The Arboretum’s outdoor garden classroom is the perfect setting for students to learn how food grows from seed to plant and that insects are important partners in the process. Students will also be introduced to the Square Foot Gardening method and participate in seed starting activities in the Greenhouse. Through hands on activities, they will develop a greater understanding of where food comes from and what parts of plants we eat; all while connecting with and forming a deeper appreciation of nature.
