Arboretum’s buildings will be closed from December 24th through January 1st

Tree Essentials

The Arboretum’s wide variety of impressive trees makes it an ideal setting to learn about these giants of the plant world. Not only will students gain a newfound appreciation of the many ways in which we depend upon trees in our daily lives, they will also learn through hands-on activities about the structure of a tree and how its different parts work together to make it function. As students explore our woodlands, they will gain an understanding of the diversity of trees by examining trees’ leaves, bark, buds, fruits and flowers.
