Children's Birthday Parties

"All of the kids had great fun at the Paint-a-Pot birthday party, and the parents had a lovely time at the Arboretum as well!"

Birthday parties are a privilege of the Family Level membership or higher

Birthday parties are held in the Stackhouse Education Center at Reeves-Reed Arboretum.

Let's Party!

Each party begins with a brief introduction by a staff member, followed by the entertainment of your choice. The first hour is entirely Educator-led; the last half hour of the party is led by the birthday parents – to serve cake and/or other party food that you supply. The space is available to you 30 minutes before your scheduled time slot for setup and decorating, and 30 minutes afterwards for cleanup.

Cost: $300
Time: 1.5 hours
Limit: 16 children

Please include any participating siblings when calculating the guest limits. See individual party package descriptions for ages.

Learn and Have Fun!

Reeves-Reed Arboretum offers a delightful and educational setting for hosting children’s birthday parties, with its beautiful gardens providing a magical backdrop for unforgettable celebrations.

Host a children's birthday party where they can paint a pot

Paint-a-Pot
(ages 4 and up)

At this art and planting party, each guest will decorate a terra-cotta pot that they will fill with a beautiful plant. After decorating, we’ll take a short hike on the grounds and visit the greenhouse. The children will take home their masterpieces as a lasting memory of a wonderful experience.

Arboretum Explorers
(ages 6 and up)

Children will borrow one of our Explorer backpacks to look at the natural world one small square at a time. They will have an opportunity to examine insects up close, learn to identify birds with their binoculars, and go on a Nature Quest in search of some of the Arboretum's little treasures! The program part of this party is held almost entirely outdoors. Limit: 14 children.

Terrific Terrariums
(ages 6 and up)

Guests at this party will learn about the water cycle and how plants grow as they construct their own "mini greenhouses" to take home after the party. We start with a fun and interactive game outside, take a short hike, then head into the greenhouse to create our miniature terrariums.

For Animal Lovers
(ages 4 and up)

If your child is an animal lover, you may choose to have a live animal presenter for your entertainment. Choose Snakes-n-Scales for reptiles and amphibians, or Wallaby Tales for mammals. We provide the contact information, and you book and pay for the arrangements directly with the presenter after confirming a date with us.
Cost: $190 to Reeves-Reed Arboretum (Does not include the cost of the presenter.)
