Each day, campers will explore the gardens and trails at the Arboretum, participate in exciting games and activities, and create unique crafts.
This year marks Reeves-Reed Arboretum’s 50th anniversary. And as we celebrate this important milestone, we continue to capture the magic of nature at this special day camp!
You must have a Family-level membership or above to receive the member discount and the benefit of registering early.
Member registration begins Thursday, February 15 at 9:00 am.
Non-Member registration begins Thursday, February 29 at 9:00 am.
This Summer's Highlights:
- This year’s camp is bound to be extra special as we celebrate the Arboretum’s 50th Anniversary! Join us for a fun-filled summer to commemorate the past and continue to build a bright future!
- RRA teams up with Bold Arts for the 9th consecutive year to offer an exciting week of performing arts camp! This week’s camp will culminate with a performance created by the campers and instructors.
- Lunch Buddies returns this summer! Campers attending morning sessions (9am-12pm) can bring their lunch, and plan to stay for an additional hour of food, fun, and friends! (Cost: $50 per week)
- Food Explosion camp has been such a success, we continue to offer TWO sessions again this summer! Each day campers will roll up their sleeves and prepare culinary treats from near and far. Don’t wait to sign up. This camp will fill up quickly!

Register for two or more camps per family and receive $25 off your total camp purchase. Be sure to use the code MULTI24 on the checkout page to take advantage of this savings. Please note that only one discount can be used per family and applies only at the time of purchase.
Any registration that is cancelled 30 days or more prior to the start date will be refunded less a $50 administrative fee. We cannot provide a refund for any cancellations made within 30 days of the camp start date.

Be a Nature Detective
Let’s Go Hiking!! As nature detectives, we’ll carefully study the woodlands and gardens, using all our senses to discover the wild and wonderful plants and animals living at the Arboretum. We’ll learn how all living things prepare for winter. Along the way, we’ll play games, read a story, and go on a scavenger hunt. Leave the Arboretum with a sense of wonder about the natural world and a desire to return “into the woods” again and again!
Creature Features
Frilly Gills? Super Snout? Huge Horns? We’ll take a look at the faces of animals from all around the world and discover how their stand-out characteristics help them survive and thrive! Games, hikes, stories, and a cool craft will all be part of our awesome afternoon!
Animals in Winter
Join us to discover what some of our favorite animals do as winter approaches! How do they prepare, and where do they go? Let’s read, play games, and investigate while we hike our beautiful trails. Children will also create a unique craft!
Sustainable Artists
Let’s get creative! In this final minicamp, we will learn what it means to be sustainable. As we explore the works of sustainable artists – we will draw inspiration from around the world of this ecofriendly artform which is composed of common recycling and trash items. We will then create beautiful art sculptures from these common household items that children can take home with them.

Registration for members is now open. Non-member registration begins on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 9:00 AM.
